Our story
Seeder believes in creating a healthier world by improving buildings, specifically reducing the amount of energy that they consume.
The World Resources Institute estimates that, as of 2012, there was 1199 coal-fired plants around the world generating the electricity necessary to power our cities, making those plants the single biggest contributor to air pollution.
Pollution is responsible for one in eight global deaths and this number is bound to double in next twenty years if we don't act now. This is a problem that concerns all of us. It takes six days for the air in China to reach North America and six more days for that same air to reach Europe.
Buildings consume 47% of all the energy produced globally and commercial buildings are responsible for 84% of that consumption. Making commercial buildings more energy efficient is the most effective way to reduce pollution. A few changes in today's construction habits can have a huge impact on our health, quality of life and even productivity for the next decades.
We believe that like a seed, buildings, if maintained well can grow into something beautiful, useful and beneficial for all. Our goal is to plant the seeds for a cleaner tomorrow, one building at a time.
